INTALInC is pleased to welcome a new partner to the Network.
Walk21 is an international charity working to support and promote more walking, making it an enjoyable part of daily transport, recreation and health.
The organisation has been growing its network of communities of interest in walking since 2000 and the network now extends worldwide. Walk21 has developed a walking charter, hosts an annual Walking Conference, and represents walking on global forums and agenda.
To further its aim to highlight the value of walking and established best practice, Walk21 hosts an online library of walking resources and factsheets, as well as offering policy guidance, training and technical assistance. Walk21 aims to oversee the development of the Sidewalk Challenge to build or rehabilitate 100,000 kilometres of sidewalks where they are most needed.
INTALInC is looking forward to working in partnership with Walk21 and others to develop research relating to walking in the Global South.
